The estimated value of these tenders has not been specified, but as can be seen from the company’s last amended public procurement plan for 2025, the items of the plan on the basis of which the procurement was initiated, a total of 40.5 billion dinars, or about EUR 346 million, is planned for the procurement of new vehicles for the transportation of passengers through two items in the first quarter.
As specified, the first vehicle should be delivered 15 months from the date of the signing of the contract, while the longest deadline of complete delivery that the customer is ready to accept is 30 months.
– The trams will be articulated two-part vehicles (vehicles with two modules), fully low-floor, equipped with a microprocessor system for regulating traction and braking, a DC/DC converter for powering low-voltage devices, an electronic passenger information system, video surveillance, a ramp for people with special needs and air conditioning in the driver’s cabin and the passenger compartment – the technical specification states.
The capacity of the tram must be at least 30 seats, not including folding seats, while the minimum capacity of the tram must not be fewer than 95 passengers in total.
As for the color of the new vehicles, the technical specification does not explicitly stipulate that it should be blue, as, according to the new decision, all city transport vehicles should look like, but it is stated that the supplier will deliver three alternatives for the color scheme of the trams, which will be made after discussions with the PUE GSP Beograd.
– An offer of alternative color schemes is to be submitted to the PUE GSP Beograd with a conceptual design, and one of them will be approved by the PUE GSP Beograd with the approval of the main project.
Also, as specified, similarity with the color scheme already used on trams is desirable.
The warranty period for all trams should last a minimum of three years starting from the date of mutual signing of the Record of Final Acceptance for each delivered tram individually.
The deadline for applying for the tender is April 1, and more details (in Serbian) can be seen HERE.
Let us remind that during the summer of last year GSP awarded the contract for the purchase of 25 trams to the Turkish company Bozankaya, the total value of which is around EUR 81 million including the VAT. This tender procedure was suspended and continued on several occasions, and among other things, the high price per vehicle was controversial.
The last completely new trams for the needs of Belgrade’s public transport arrived in Belgrade a little less than 15 years ago when 30 Spanish CAF trams were acquired.
