Vucic: Production of electric Pandas in Kragujevac to start from third week of January

The president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, stated today that the serial production of electric cars Fiat Panda in Kragujevac would start in the third week of January.

- That will drastically contribute to our GDP growth. We really had a problem in the first quarter, precisely because of the high quarter of this year, so that will raise our whole year – said Vucic, as reported by Beta.

According to him, if more than 100,000 vehicles are produced, a GDP growth rate of 4.2 or 4.3% can be expected.

Let us remind that, at the beginning of the year, Vucic first announced that Stellantis would launch the production of Fiat Panda in the summer.

- Stellantis will start producing the small Panda from June or July – Vucic said on the sidelines of the forum in Davos.

Italy’s Quattroruote also wrote about a slight delay of the production of the new model compared to what was said by Vucic, who announced the beginning of the production for the fourth quarter of 2024, with October marked as “the first day.”

In reality, Stellantis Group has never specified the date.
