A meeting of the Task Force for Amendments to the Labor Law will not be held April 3rd, but next Thursday (10 April 2014), Zoran Mihajlovic, the vice president of the Association of Independent Trade Unions of Serbia, has announced.
Mihajlovic told Tanjug news agency that the members of the Task Force would gather on April 10 to consider provisions regarding minimum wage, extended application of collective agreements, work for a definite period of time, ways to pay severance pays, as well as reasons for dismissing workers.

As he noted, Task Force members were not able to organize a meeting this week because for the last two days they participated in a seminar organized by the International Labor Organization in Palic.

At a meeting in early January, the representatives of trade unions and employers and government officials agreed to have the amendments to the Labor Law drafted by May 1st and adopted by the end of June.
