Serbian tag can now be used in Croatia too

A Serbian tag can now be used for traveling on highways through Croatia and vice versa, whereby the Toll4All system has started functioning in EU member states, stated Zoran Drobnjak, the acting director of the PE Roads of Serbia. At the “Lipovac” toll station, he was the first one to test the integrated toll collection system between Serbia and Croatia.

– This is already the fourth country in the Toll4All system and that is an indicator that the future of the region lies in integration. I am especially proud that our company has presented a modern solution which enables the integration of toll collection, thereby facilitating travel for the citizens of Serbia and all the countries within the Toll4All system – emphasized Drobnjak.

Darko Savic, the executive director of the Sector for Toll Collection of the Roads of Serbia, reminded that the introduction of that system meant that there would be no more delays at the toll stations, currency exchange, or waiting and that now, instead, one tag could be used for traveling through four countries of the region – Serbia, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Croatia.

– The system is still expanding. We are in the final phase of integrating the system with Republika Srpska, and we expect to also establish a system with Greece this year, which would be very significant, considering the large number of citizens who travel to this country during the summer season – concluded Savic.

Ivan Ribicic, the director of the Sector for Toll Collection of the Hrvatske autoceste (Croatian Highways) company, stated that the use of the Croatian tag in Serbia would largely facilitate travel for a large number of passengers between the two countries.

– We have recognized the needs of our drivers and worked hard in the past period to successfully implement this integration. From today, driving through Croatia and Serbia will be much simpler and more comfortable – stated Ribicic.

The Toll4All system started working in July 2023, when integrated toll collection with North Macedonia was established.
