To clarify, Maserati is facing challenges related to workers in Italy who are currently on a program of a temporary halt of operations.
In order to secure a continuity of production and employment, the company proposed to these workers the possibility of temporary work in the factory in Serbia, where they would participate in the production of the Fiat Grande Panda model.
The proposed plan envisages for the workers on a temporary leave from Italy to be hired in the factory in Serbia, where, with their experience and skills, they would contribute to the production of the new Grande Panda model.
This move aims to utilize the existing workforce capacities, while at the same time maintaining their employment during the period of reduced activity in Italy.
The news was first reported by the “Milano Finanza” newspaper, and then confirmed by the trade unions as well, which said that it was not a solution to the problem.
