Roundabout at intersection of Nikole Tesle Blvd and Usce by end of autumn too – Cobblestones set in Karadjordjeva Street several years ago to be replaced by asphalt

(The roundabout of Mihajla Pupina and Nikole Tesle boulevards) The works on the second of the five roundabouts in New Belgrade have been completed, so after the roundabout in Vladimira Popovica Street, now Nikole Tesle Blvd and Mihajla Pupina Blvd are connected this way too. By the end of the autumn, as the mayor of Belgrade, Aleksandar Sapic, announces, the completion of the works on the roundabout Nikole Tesle Blvd – Usce Blvd is expected as well.

He pointed out that, in the next several days, regarding the remaining developed roundabout, what remained to be done was to develop the lanes, but he emphasized that it would not interfere with the traffic.

– After these works, we are continuing on, that is, we are moving on to the construction of the roundabout at the intersection of Nikole Tesle Blvd and Usce, that is, the extension of Milentija Popovica Street. We expect the job to be completed by the end of autumn, and the works on the construction of the third roundabout, which will be located on the intersection of Milentija Popovica Street and Mihajla Pupina Blvd should begin next summer, when the traffic frequency is reduced again. With those three roundabouts, as well as the one in Vladimira Popovica Street, the final one remains at the intersection of Zemunski Put Street and Vladimira Popovica Street, but that roundabout will be built only when the new bridge is practically finished – said Sapic.

As for the stretches around Kalemegdan and the Belgrade Fortress, Sapic said that he expected the works in Vojvode Bojovica Blvd to be completed in the next several days.
