Electronic Signing of Tax Returns from Now on Also Possible with Cloud-Based Certificate

From now on, the users of the eTaxes portal will be able to sign and file electronic tax return forms by using their eID accounts on the eGovernment portal, that is, the mobile app ConsentID and a cloud-based certificate, the Tax Administration announced.

This enables another way for the users of the portal to file tax returns, which doesn’t require the use of the app eTaxes and the use of the Qualified Electronic Certificate on a smart card or USB token.

– Signing with a cloud-based certificate is equal with the signing of tax returns with the Qualified Electronic Certificate (smart card or USB token), and this enables the users of the portal to choose between one of the two ways of signing and filing tax returns – the Tax Administration says.

The filing and signing of tax returns by using the eTaxes app and the Qualified Electronic Certificate remains as the possibility of choice for the users of the eTaxes portal.

The existing system of authorization for the use of the electronic services at the eTaxes portal is to remain functioning as before.

This service, as said, is enabled in cooperation with the Office for Information Technologies and Electronic Government.
