Applying and issuing visas to foreigners will be online in the future, employers will also be able to submit requests - The state is looking for a developer for the "Living in Serbia" portal

The Government Office for Information Technologies and Electronic Administration plans to pay RSD 65 million for the development and implementation of a software solution for foreign citizens; a public procurement has also been announced. The future "Living in Serbia" portal will consolidate the procedures for applying and issuing visas in one place, as well as submitting applications for a Unified permit and submitting applications for permission to stay in Serbia for all foreign citizens.

The portal for foreign citizens will also serve for informative purposes, in terms of information and data that deal with all life topics of importance for foreigners who intend to stay or already stay in Serbia.

The project will rely on software solutions which already exist, namely the online application for Visa D - Longer stay for the purpose of employment of foreign nationals coming from the visa regime countries (eConsulate) and the online application for processing requests of foreign nationals for the approval of temporary residence, which was implemented as part of the eGovernment Portal (eStranac).

Through the future "Living in Serbia" portal, foreign citizens will, among other things, be able to submit requests for a short-stay visa (Visa C) for adults and minors, as well as requests for a long-stay visa (Visa D) and a Unified Permit.

Also, the portal should enable employers to submit requests for a long-term visa (Visa D) on behalf of foreign citizens.

The future application solution should enable the issuing of visas in electronic form - eVisa.
