A video has appeared on the
TikTok channel of Infostud where a lawyer is explaining what mothers can do if the company at which they are employed ceases to exist while they are on a maternity leave.
– If the employment stops, if the employer you worked at “shuts down”, in order to continue receiving the compensation as a beneficiary of a maternity bonus, you have two options – he says.
The first option is to immediately get employed with another employer in order to continue receiving the compensation you are due.
The second option is, if you can’t find new employment quickly, apply with the National Employment Service, where you receive unemployment compensation.
– The compensation is lower than the one you would receive again if you got employed with another employment, so a better option is to switch from one to another job. If you go to the National Employment Service, you would receive the compensation until the date when your maternity leave expires.
