International urban and architectural design competition launched for Klekovaca tourist resort in Bosnia-Herzegovina

(one of the earlier solutions)

Implementation of long-awaited investment in a tourist complex at Mount Klekovaca in Bosnia-Herzegovina is getting new contours. Namely, an international urban and architectural design competition for the urban zone of the Klekovaca tourist complex has been launched.

According to the terms of this competition, the location of the narrow zone of tourist complex is at the foot of the mountain, on a high plain caled Kozila, 805 to 895 meters above the sea level. The plan is to build a facility that can accommodate 15,000 guests in this zone covering a surface area of 383 hectares.

Klekovaca will also get a mountain ethnic village, ski runs and Nordic trails, snowboard parks, an adrenaline park, etc., but these facilities are not the subject of the ongoing competition.

In line with an agreement with the Government of the Republic of Srpska, Alpin Allianz Projektentwiclungs GmbH is expected to invest EUR 338 million in the construction of this complex either directly or indirectly through co-investors or investment funds.
