Municipalities have until February 12 to count legalization requests

The Ministry of Construction will ask cities and municipalities on Wednesday to submit the exact count of new requests for the legalization of illegally built facilities and requests for legalization fee cuts within the next seven days, Aleksandra Damnjanovic, assistant to the construction minister, told Tanjug news agency.

Damnjanovic reminded that January 29 was the deadline to submit legalization requests pursuant to the Law on Legalization of Buildings, adding that it was also the deadline for local self-governments to determine the amount of fees and fee cuts.

Apart from submitting the count of new requests, local self-governments will also have to notify the ministry of the total number of legalization requests - both new and old ones.
