Which of exception potentials of Municipality of Vladimirci will be in function first – geothermal springs, mineral water, the Sava river, fishing...?

Municipality of Vladimirci, in the region of Mačva, will soon have another significant "trump card" for potential local and foreign investors. Preparations for activation of new geothermal spring are underway, which creates prospects for construction of swimming pool with accompanying facilities at 2.5 ha.

- The project documentation for geothermal spring, which is situated at the depth of about 800 meters, has already been designed and we expect that the spring will be in function by the end of year 2008. The temperature of this water, according to some earlier estimates, is about 60 degrees, and the spring is about 500 meters away from the center of the municipality - says Dejan Nešić from the Office for local economic development of Town hall of Vladimirci for eKapija.

Total of 16m RSD is provided from the National Investment Plan for this project, which represents 70% of the investment, while Town hall of Vladimirci purchased 2.5 ha of the aforementioned land in 2007.

The project documentation for the geothermal spring was designed in January 2008 by Belgrade-based company "Geo profil". At the moment, the municipality does not have any swimming pool.

There are already geomineral springs on the territory of Vladimirci, on locations Debrc and Mesarci, and their temperature ranges between 54 and 57 degrees. Debrd has the largest hothouse in the Balkans and eKapija already wrote about that on some earlier occasion.

Vladimirci also has other significant water resources, such as mineral water well (5.6 lit/sec) in village of Prov, which is suitable for construction of a spa resort or sports-recreation center. Natural lake "Vukošićka Bara", at 65 ha, is ideal for construction of fish pond and recreation center, which would turn this place into the largest excursion site for the citizens of municipalities of Šabac and Vladimirci. Vladimirci is 19 km away from Šabac.

The greatest potential of Vladimirci is, most certainly, the 28-kilometer riverbed of the Sava river, which stretches along the edge of this municipality. Construction of the brim road 16 km long in Prov represented a significant step towards making this place a tourist-catering area.

Vladimirci are also known for the hunting grounds with small and big game, which are visited by the hunters from abroad on regular basis.

Municipality of Vladimirci has 21,000 citizens and the fact that this municipality has a secondary school with the department of catering speaks in favor of future development of tourism in Vladimirci.
