Elite hotel-recreation complex to replace deserted villa on Fruška Gora

On the east slope of Fruška Gora, beneath Iriški Venac, there is a villa that has been deserted for 45 years. It has been recently bought by a businessman from Chicago, Mladen Sedlak, and he plans to have an exclusive hotel with sports contents and swimming pools, as well as special medical services, built on that location. The investor asked for and Municipality of Irig accepted that the land-utilization plan be made for the location of 1.4 ha. It will provide for future buildings to be in accordance with the milieu of National Park Fruška gora. The plan has already entered realization phase and commencement of works is expected in spring 2008.
