Chinese Company Seeking Subcontractors for Construction of 12 Bridges and 4 Culverts on Second Section of Danube Corridor

China Shandong International Economic & Technical Cooperation Group Ltd, the Belgrade branch, which is building the fast route Pozarevac-Golubac (Danube Corridor), has published the tender for the construction of bridges and culverts on the second part of the corridor.

The job entails the procurement, transport and installation of materials for the construction of 8 bridges fortified by concrete beams, 4 bridges with a firm framework, the same number of box culverts and 3 pipe culverts.

The deadline for the execution of the job is 18 months.

In addition to the bridges on Section 2 which are the subject of the tender, the entire project of the construction of bridges along the whole Danube Corridor entails the construction of another 19 bridges and 9 culverts on the road sections 1 and 3.

Let us remind that the Ministry of Environmental Protection recently authorized the environmental impact assessment study for the construction of the 2nd section of the fast route Pozarevac-Golubac and that, in June, the competent ministry announced that the intensification of the works on the section from Pozarevac to Veliko Gradiste (the second section of the Danube Corridor) was expected.


The construction of the Danube Corridor started in November last year.

Upon the completion of the works, the fast route, 67 kilometers long, will have two lanes in each direction.

The project is worth EUR 305 million, and the contractor is the Chinese company Shandong Hi Speed Group.

According to the latest announcements, the works will be done by mid-2025.
