This decision cancels the previous one which subsidized lines to 12 destinations from Nis.
The new decision on the lines of public interest was adopted by the government in late October. The lines include the already known destinations, Frankfurt (Hahn), Ljubljana and Tivat, as well as additional lines, namely, Nis-Athens, Nis-Istanbul, Nis-Cologne and Nis-Belgrade.
In addition to those, the document also mentions lines from Kraljevo to Thessaloniki, Tivat and Istanbul.
– Regular air transport from Item 1 of this decision is to be carried out between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2023 – the decision says.
The decision also says that the plan is to have two flights a week to Frankfurt, Cologne, Athens, Istanbul, Tivat and Ljubljana, except that it is noted that the flights to Montenegro and the capital of Greece will be available during the summer season.
Four flights a week to Belgrade are planned, which means that Nis will be connected with the capital of Serbia by air as well.
