Early November to see preliminary design of Pancevo-based Weifert brewery rehabilitation

The working group for the old Weifert brewery organized four topic-focused meeting so that it would in a better way define the future purpose of the complex. The City of Pancevo and the Working Group are ready to release a public call in early November for development of preliminary design of reconstruction and revitalization of the facility, RTV Pancevo reports.

Vice head at the Directorate for construction of Pancevo, Maja Vitman, said that the old Weifert’s brewery entered into the Strategy of the city development and the Strategy of Province development so the Working group has a serious task.

The coordinator of the Working group, Tamara Tasic, says that communications with all interested citizens and interest groups so that rehabilitation and revitalization project task of the old brewery on 15.000 m2 in the old city center would be implemented as quality as possible.

- All needs of Pancevo should be taken into consideration and think ab out how brewery can be used but also consider options that an investor takes over the facility. We will provide solution for the problem and collect all the needs - Tamara Tasic said.

Citizens can deliver ideas on rehabilitation and development of the old brewery, to the email addresses of the City of Pancevo and the Directorate, Radio-television Pancevo announced.
