SERTIC: I am afraid a small number of serious offers for companies in restructuring arrived

I am afraid there is very few serious offers for the acquisition of companies in restructuring despite the large number of letters of interest, the minister of trade, Zeljko Sertic, said yesterday.

- The first day I appeared in media and when we were talking about 1.732 letters of interest for the acquisition, many said it was great since we have 500companies for sale which means there will be fight. But this is not the case –Sertic said at the Radio-television Vojvodina.

He specified that there are 20 letters of inters for RTB Bor, 10 for Simpo and 10 for Lasta.

When asked whether he likes 20 offers for RTB Bor, he said: “of course I do not like all of them”.

- There are companies which would like, in speculative way, to get to the capital. If we set aside, out of 20 offers for RTB Bor, one quality partner or two we can discuss with, we succeeded – he said.

When asked how he interprets the news that the staff of Posta will get bonuses despite the savings measures, Sertic said the management of the company and the Government of Serbia will seriously analyze that decision.

- We will seriously analyze not Posta as Posta but the principle. The Government will make mutual conclusion for all public companies and where there is an option for bonus – Sertic said.

Speaking about topics for the meeting with the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, during his visit to Serbia, Sertic said that economy will be in the first plan and that ”definitely it will be asked that one part of cars is exported to the Russian market customs-free”.
