Citizens could feel the first salaries and pensions cuts in November since the minister of finance, Dusan Vujovic, announced that new measures will be implemented a few weeks after adoption of the budget 2014 rebalance which will be before the parliament members in mid-October.

The final reply of the Government of Serbia when it comes to measures implementation which includes salaries and pensions cuts will be presented in the proposal of the budget rebalance, Vujovic said

"Our internal agreement is to use budget rebalance to explain the people what is needs and start with the measures implementation, Vujovic said at TV Prva.

According to him, specific laws must follow rebalance so that salaries and pensions cuts could be implemented.

He said rebalance will be before the Assembly in mid-October and early November should see the budget 2015 proposal.

He said now we need wider approach and that it is not a moment for party-oriented division. When asked about how long cuts will last, Vujovic said that everything is done in line with the plan to increase budget income; early 2016 could see a potential increase in salaries in health and education.
