A total of EUR 390 m for rehabilitation of 1.100 km on Serbian roads - Putevi Srbije agree with creditors a list of 54 sections


PC Putevi Srbije aligned with creditors a list of 54 sections, 1.100 km long, which will be comprised within the project of the roads rehabilitation and traffic safety promotion in the period of 2014 until 2017 where EUR 390 m will be poured, the Ministry of Construction, Traffic and Infrastructure announced.
The European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development set aside EUR 100 mil respectively (26% of total amount respectively), the World Bank pours EUR 73, 8 mil (19% of total amount) and Serbia provides 29% of funds, i.e. EUR 116,2m it was announced at the site of the Ministry.
The project is the first stage within the National program for the roads
network rehabilitation which should include some 1.100 to some 5.000 km of
state-owned road network identified as priorities.
The roads rehabilitation project and promotion of traffic safety will comprise
urgent works on rehabilitation and reconstruction of sections damaged in the
May floods.
The project implies urgent works, this year already, on some road sections such
as Lazarevac - Arandjelovac - Topola, Korenite Krupanj, and Loznica - Valjevo –
Lajkovac, etc.
The project comprises works on some sections of road directions Sabac - Loznica
- Mali Zvornik, Mali Zvornik - Rogacica - Uzice, Obrenovac - Sabac - Loznica,
Raska - Leposavic - Kosovska Mitrovica, Uzice – Pozega and many others.
