Russian supermarket chain, Dixy, interested to increase import from Serbia



Russian trade chain, Dixy Group, is interested in fruit and vegetables import increase from Serbia, the company reps have confirmed today in their meeting with the minister of trade, Rasim Ljajic.
The
Dixy chain delegation was headed by the vice president for logistics and international
cooperation, Marat Magkejev, the Ministry of Trade announced.
Dixy is the third in size in Russia and has more than 2000 retail shops.
So far, the company has been importing small quantities of fruit and vegetables from Serbia but after Russia introduced sanctions on import of EU food products, it is interested in import increase. Apart from that, they are interested in expanding the entire product line of Serbian goods to canned fruit and vegetables as well in their shops.
As it was announced, Dixy chain res will talk today in Belgrade with the
biggest producers and exporters of fruit and vegetables in Serbia and they
expect to sign the first contracts with strategic partners so that goods deliveries
would be on their way to Russia next week.
