There are the interested in acquisition of Nevena

The Nevena chemical industry, in restructuring, confirms there are interested investors for the company and that they expect it will go private soon.
After the Agency for Privatization published a public call for collection of investors’ letters of interest, the General Manager of Nevena, Miljan Miljkovi, claims there is buyers’ interest.
-We expect that one of the investors will address us and privatization will come within deadline the Government of Serbia gave. We expect that in the shortest deadline possible the investors’ letters to be delivered and that thus markets for Nevena will expand – Miljkovic says.
According to him, they used the restructuring period for rehabilitation of one
part of production and launch of new Nevena baby kids’ cosmetics called Kosalija.
Miljkovic reminds that they initiated new authentic collection since they did
not have EUR 600.000 to renew license for knows Swiss collection Kosili.
They protected their new products at the Bureau for Intellectual property.
- We had a small accident with respect to bad insinuations related to falsified
products. It was not good for a company with 60 years of tradition in
production of kids’ products and therefore we are soon preparing an adequate
reply - Miljkovic announces.
In 2007, Bulgarian Bulcvet acquired Neevna and the Agency for Privatization terminated privatization in 2010 because the owner did not stick to the terms from the sale conract.
During privatization, major part of the section stooped working.
- After privatization termination, we had a big number of employees and the
product placement went to only certain groups. Everything was made normal, the company
decreased headcount on voluntarily basis and we now have 77 people. The company
operates on Saturdays and Sundays and capacities are exploited – Miljkovic
says.
Nevena delivers goods totaling some EUR 60.00 every month.
Before privatization, Nevena employed 500 workers.
