"Beogradski vodovod" obtained up-to-date remote control system

The up-to-date remote control system "Skada", which enables quicker and more quality work in complete water supply system, was officially represented yesterday (March 2, 2007) in Control-Command Centre of "Beogradski vodovod i kanalizacija".

The offical opening took place in the presence of Tadashi Nagai, the Ambassador of Japan to Belgrade, the country that helped this project with the donation in amount of 4.9m EUR for the first phase.

Bojan Stanojević, the city manager, thanked to Japan at the press conference for donation in total amount of 7.3m EUR, because another 2.4m EUR will arrive from the Far East for the second phase. Stanojević repeated that Japan was the greatest donator to our country.

In addition to the fact that he is happy with the completed job, Ambassador Nagai especially pointed to the fact that the first part of the project was finished before the deadline and he expressed the hope that the citizens of Belgrade would have better supply with water in the future.
