New smelter in Bor to start trial operation by year's end

Blagoje Spaskovski, the general manager of the Mining-Smelter Basin (RTB) Bor, said that the new smelter in that town would begin trial operation by the year's end, expressing his expectation that the cost of its construction would not exceed EUR 250 million.

Answering the questions of journalists, Spaskovski pointed out that the new smelter would finally be put into operation after 113 years.

- Cold trials will most likely commence December 23rd - said Spaskovski.
