No changes on salaries until October? – Vucic announced possibility to postpone fiscal consolidation measures

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic announced on Sunday (15 June 2014) possibility to postpone fiscal consolidation measures and not to change salaries until October. Due to the floods it is considered to delay fiscal consolidation measures for the autumn.

- That means no current changes on salaries and pensions – explained Vucic, adding that previous plans were to reduce salaries at the moment and pensions by October this year.

Currently there is an option not to make any changes on salaries either. People will look forward to it, but, as he said, he will not, due to the state of public finances.

According to him, all the reforms should be introduced as soon as possible.
