Germansn to employ 3,000 more people in Serbia – Vucic presented Government's temporary measures to entrepreneurs in Berlin

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic have met today with German entrepreneurs in Berlin and informed them about measures which Government plans to implement in the forthcoming period in order to improve business atmosphere, says the official site of Serbian Government.

At the beginning of working breakfast in German Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations, Vucic presented plans for establishing sustainable economy after recent floods and creating convenient atmosphere for business operations. He announced that many laws will be adopted in the following period, which should provide convenient conditions for foreign investments, and added that new Labor Law will be adopted in the Assembly of Serbia in at least 20 days.

Prime Minister pointed out that German entrepreneurs indicated to obstacles they found during business operations in Serbia, noticing that some of them are already removed, while the others will be sorted out in the near future. According to him, the aim is to resolve all the problems that German entrepreneurs faced with, in order to attract new investors from that country, quotes the official site of Serbian Government.

Vucic said that one large German company announced employment of 3,000 workers in Serbia by 2016, mentioning that this comany has already operated in Serbia. He also expects German investments in Serbia to rise in the following period.

Executive Director of the Committee on Eastern European Economic Relations Reiner Lindner commended Prime Minister Vucic for his devoted engagement to make Serbia more attractive for foreign investments, especially in post-floods period. He also said that at this meeting they should find a way how German economy could help Serbia in this context.

Representatives of large companies which have already operated in Serbia or would like to come into Serbian market have attended the meeting. According to him, the two countries have successful trade relations, where the amount of investments is a good signal how German economy supports Serbian EU integrations.

Lindner said he hopes Serbia will fast advance on its way to EU, and quoted recent message of German Chancellor Angela Merkel that all West Balkan countries have European future. He said German entrepreneurs collected EUR 1.1 billion to help the endangered by recent floods in Serbia, and added that during the meeting medical aid was mentioned, as additional help to Serbian people devastated by natural disaster.

Linder said that German economy is going to intensify its activities in Serbia, and announced continuation of the talks with German entrepreneurs for September or October this year. This meeting was the end of a two-day-visit of Serbian Prime Minister Vucic to Germany, where he met with the Councellor Angela Merkel and Minister of Foreign Affairs Frank Walter Steinmeier.
