Regional Committee of World Health Organization has meeting in Belgrade in September

The Coordinator of the Ministry of Health, Slobodan Lalović, and the DEputy of the Regional Manager of the World Health Organization, Nata Menabde, have signed the agreement, according to which Serbia is entrusted organization of the 57th meeting of the Regional Committee of the World Health Organization, which will be held in Belgrade from September 17 to 20, 2007.

Lalović said that the Agreement was the certificate for everything the Government of Serbia had done in the previous period in field of health care and that it was another confirmation that the policy it had chosen was not personal matter. Menabde evaluated collaboration with the Government of Serbia in the past few years as successful, pointing out that the series of important issues will be discussed at the meeting of the Regional Committee of WHO, among which are strengthening of the medical system, development of activities engaged in the control of non-infectuous and infectuous diseases and improvement of status of medical workers.
