As of July 1, quota for tobacco export from EU to total 1.600 tons


As of July 1, EU should see a quota of 1.600 tons for tobacco products export to Serbia at the customs rate of 15%, the President of the Board of Assembly of Serbia for the EU integrations, Aleksandar Senic, said on Sunday, May 10, 2014.
At the Beta agency, he said that it was planned within a protocol with the Joining and stabilization agreement between EU and Serbia upon joining of Croatia to EU.
Senic said that the assembly Board for the EU integrations adopted the report on signing of the protocol for giving approval of its temporary implementation.
- The report was adopted and will be effective as of July 1 which means that EU, due to traditional trade flows, will have a quota of 1.600 tons on the tobacco products export to Serbia at the customs rate of 15% - Senic said.
According to him, before Croatia joined EU, there was a preferential quantity of only 25 tons which underwent customs with the customs rate of 10%.
- Now, the quantity totals 1.600 tons at the customs rate of 15% - Senic added.
