Italians interested in processing wood at Svrljig-based Progres factory

The Italia living company is interested in opening a wood-processing plant within the facility of former Progres and employing 400 people there, it was said at a meeting between Svrljig Mayor Milija Miletic and Kosmo Kompanelo, a representative of that foreign company which has been operating in several neighboring countries for years now. Its last factory that was opened in Romania currently achieves very successful results.
Italians toured the former furniture factory Progres and then held a meeting in the Mayor's Office, which was also attended by the representatives of companies Vagres and Trilord, Boban Matic, the director of the Nis-based office of the National Employment Agency, Marina Savic, the head of the Department for Budget and Finance of the Svrljig municipality, and Igor Davidovic, the director of JKSP Svrljig.
As it was underlined at the meeting, the annual profit of this company in Svrljig would exceed EUR 10 million, which would be significant step forward in the economic development of this municipality.
The next step is to sign a letter of intent, after which the talks about the implementation of this investment will start.
