The Serbian government has accepted the proposal of the City of Zrenjanin and gave its permit to allocate a building land to the Luvata company for free, Zrenjanin Mayor Ivan Bosnjak said Friday (28 February 2014).

Deputy Mayor Ivan Devic said that that company planned to start producing heat exchangers, adding that they would hire 65 workers in the first year of production and another 135 people by the end of the third year.

Luvata operates 35 factories in 17 countries, where it produces parts and equipment for heating, venting and cooling.

In its letter of intent, Luvata wrote that he planned to invest about EUR 4.9 million in its factory, equipment and infrastructure in the first phase and EUR 19 million in the second phase.

Luvata is going to build its new factory in the industrial zone Jugoistok-Ecka, and Ivan Bosnjak said at a session of the City Council that the implementation of that investment would start very soon.
By the way, the feasibility study on the allocation of 5.6 hectares of state-owned building land free of charge was adopted by the Zrenjanin City Assembly in December 2013.
