Mothers-to-be get maternity leave pay in full

The Republic Health Insurance Fund (RHIF) announced Friday that all pregnant women in Serbia would be paid maternity leave pay in full.
The mandatory health insurance money will be used to pay 65 percent of the maternity leave pay, whereas the remaining 35 percent will be covered by the funds that should be transferred to RHIF from the budget of Serbia in 2014.
RHIF explained that regardless of the fact that that money had not yet been transferred from the budget to the Fund, all mothers-to-be in the territory of Serbia would be immediately paid 100 percent of their maternity leave pay.
