New record at System Alliance Europe - 3.5 million shipments transported

For the first time since the formation of System Alliance Europe, the 56 partners of the European groupage freight cooperation exceeded the amount of 3.5 million consignments. This means an increase of about five percent in the business year 2013 compared to the previous year. The tonnage amounted to 1.636 million tons.

- The mechanisms of the network take more and more effect. The interaction of partners and customers realizes high quality - says Uwe Meyer, managing director of System Alliance Europe.

Especially the runtime sensitive products stepped up compared to the previous year. A threefold increase of volume could be reported in the time definite services.

- This year, it is also our aim to increase the amount of consignments by five percent’, Meyer announced. This shall occur by further additions to the existing traffic lines across Europe. In January/February, 34 new traffic lines amongst the partners can already be announced - Meyer announced.
