ANDREJEVIĆ: State should remain majority owner of NOvi Sad Fair

- Like the exhibition companies in Germany, the State could be the majority owner of the Novi Sad Fair - said the manager of this renowned exhibition company Aleksandar Andrejević.

He said that the privatization of the Novi Sad Fair would take place in 2007. The Novi Sad Fair is organized as a stockholding company with 46% public-owned assets. Andrejević estimated that the State might buy that share of the assets of the NOvi Sad Fair.

Andrejević said that the ownership structure could be formed in the same way as in Germany, where the regional state and its capital were the owners of the exhibition companies.

According to his estimates, year 2006 was one of the most significant years in the history of the NOvi SAd Fair, because the construction of the congress Master centre, worth more than 20m EUR, was completed and 27 exhibitions were held with about 1.2m visitors.

In 2007, 28 exhibitions in 12 terms will be organized at the NOvi Sad Fair, whereas the most famous manifestation "International Agricultural FAir" will be held in period from May 12 to 19, 2007.
