USA rejects codeshare with Air Serbia

Serbia's flag carrier is disappointed with the decision of the US Department of Transportation and considers sending an official response to that department.
- We believe that the decision to repudiate the proposed codeshare arrangement is contrary to global air traffic liberalization trends and that current trade and good diplomatic relations between the two countries were not taken in consideration when making that decision - said people at Air Serbia.
Also, Serbia has a crucial position in further development of the market of southeast Europe and the Balkans.
Air Serbia was established 26 October 2013 as Serbia's flag carrier that operates direct flights to 29 destinations in Europe from its main airport Nikola Tesla in Belgrade. Its strategic partner is Etihad Airways which holds a 49-percent stake in this airline.
