Bulgarian Consulate in Niš


The Consulate of Republic of Bulgaria in Nišu will be opened tomorrow (December 21, 2006) by the Ambassador of this country to Belgrade, Georgij Dimitrov, in the presence of the Minister of Justice in the Government of Serbiam, Zoran Stojković, and his Bulgarian colleague Georgij Petkanov.
Bulgarian consul in Niš will be experienced diplomat Georgij Jurukov, who was the Ambassador to Belgrade and Sarajevo for many years.
For the headquarters of the Consulate, Niš provided the building in 19 Lole Ribara Street. It is expected that the Consulate, in addition to the businesses related to the new visa regime, which will be in effect for the citizens of Serbia starting from year 2007, when Bulgaria becomes member of EU, will significantly contribute the development of cultural, economic, sports and other connections between the two neighboring countries.
