KRSTIC: Serbia ready for program budget as of 2015

Finance Minister Lazar Krstic stated that Serbia was ready to introduce a program budget in 2015 as stipulated by the Law on Budget System.

At the conference on program budget "More Transparent Towards Results," Krstic said that the program budget would show the purpose of spending, connection between consumption and strategic objectives, as well as the results achieved.

The minister stressed that the introduction of program budget was impossible without political will, which he said existed, as well as understanding and readiness to assign responsibilities in budget spending.
