Construction Ministry invites local companies to build traffic infrastructure in Iraq


The Ministry of Construction of Serbia invites local companies to participate in tenders for the construction of traffic infrastructure in Iraq.
The Ministry of Construction and Housing of Iraq has sent Serbia the documentation for two projects - construction of a bridge and a highway, which will involve only Serbian companies as contractors.
All interested local companies can submit their applications to the Ministry of Construction and Town Planning of Serbia.
A task force for cooperation between the construction ministries of Serbia and Iraq was formed on 23 July 2013, it was announced on the website of the Serbian Construction Ministry.
Iraqi Construction and Housing Minister Mohammed Al Deradji visited Serbia in May and said on that occasion that large infrastructure projects were in the pipeline in Iraq.
Iraq plans to implement 42 residential development projects and to have 27 bridges and 800 kilometers of highway built as well as regional road infrastructure repaired.
