China's Norinco interested in building pumped-storage hydroelectric power station Djerdap 3

Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection Zorana Mihajlovic talked with a delegation of China's Norinco corporation on September 16th about the possibility of cooperation in electricity generation through implementation of priority projects in this field, it was announced on the website of the ministry.

Norinco corporation, which has a subsidiary engaged in the implementation of infrastructure projects abroad, is particularly interested in the Djerdap 3 pumped-storage hydroelectric power station project.

Representatives of the Chinese company talked with the minister and her associates about technical aspects and models for funding the construction of Djerdap 3, and Minister Mihajlovic presented them with a book of priority projects in the field of energy, environmental protection and defense.

They also agreed at the meeting to resume the dialogue about possible cooperation in the construction of power plants in Serbia.
