Siemens to organize trade fair for potential suppliers in Subotica in mid-October



In cooperation with the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Entrepreneurs of Serbia and with the support of the Serbian Economy Ministry, Siemens Belgrade will organize a trade fair for future business partners titled "Become a Siemens Supplier" in mid-October in the Subotica City Hall.
At today's press conference, Siemens announced an investment of EUR 10 million in the development of SME's in Serbia and their production.
- This is an extremely important project for the economy of Serbia. The model used by Siemens should serve as a model for all other companies, and the Economy Ministry will do its best to support such ideas. The aim of the government is create conditions for new jobs. We are entering a new age, we need a healthy economy, healthy ideas - said Sasa Radulovic, the economy minister.
Tihomir Rajlic, director general of the Siemens company, says that this company operates in Serbia for more than 125 years, adding that the tenth anniversary of successful production at wind turbine plant in Subotica will be celebrated this year and that they now want to continue to expand cooperation with suppliers in Serbia by offering them to produce 90 ready-made components for the plant in Subotica.
- In this way Siemens wants to encourage the development of SMEs in Serbia and motivates local manufacturers to enhance the quality of production, boost their capacity, create new jobs, find new markets for their products, and become a supplier to Siemens - Rajlic pointed out.
The event in Subotica will see the presentations of benefits and terms of working with Siemens as well as meetings with future, prospective local partners that will have a chance to get familiar with the needs of the Siemens plant in Subotica.
