Postal Center opened in Novi Sad


In a bid to modernize operations, the national postal company Posta Srbije has invested RSD 400 million in the new regional postal and logistics center Novi Sad that was opened Friday (6 September 2013).
This 4,500 square meter facility will be using Toshiba equipment that will be installed by the year's end to transfer from manual to automated mail classification.
Posta Srbije Director Milan Krkobabic said at the opening ceremony that the new facility was one of the most modern of the kind in this part of Europe, adding that it would allow for higher quality, faster and more secure mail transfer.
He noted that similar centers were expected to open in Belgrade and Nis as well, thus creating infrastructure for the contemporary postal system of Serbia.
