Emirati company interested in cooperation with Budimka

Representatives of the Al.Rawaved company from Abu Dhabi are interested in working with the Budimka factory, director of that Pozega-based factory, Djordje Stevanovic, told Tanjug news agency today.
According to him, the Emirati have toured the factory to get familiar with its processing and production capacity.
However, he said that one of the major problems was inefficient administration and the absence of cooperation with the state.
- We filed a request for ending the restructuring process in February, considering that Budimka's recovery has started - he stressed.
Stevanovic noted that Budimka had signed a contract with a German company to export EUR 1 million worth of jams this year alone, adding that the Pozega-based company was already exporting its products to Belgium, Poland, the Netherlands, Austria, Slovenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Kosovo-Metohia.
Budimka was established in the late 1940s. It had been developing until 1990, when it started facing problems that were believed to be solved in 2008 with the privatization of the company. However, the privatization agreement was terminated as early as in 2010. The factory now has 120 workers, and it is engaged in the production of marmalades, jams, juices and vegetables.
