Novi Becej to host Lepa Brena and Parni valjak - Explosion of summer party at the Tisa river for Gospojina holiday

From August 22- 27, Novi Becej will host traditional tourist event, Gospojina, with a slogan "You will come as well".

As the organizers said, it is one out of three best visited events in Serbia which hosted 200.000 visitors last year.

- We are trying every year to attract larger number of visitors. This year we are aiming at introducing our guests with Novi Becej and to provide them as quality program as possible. We were trying to invite famous performers and to make a real summer party explosion. I believe we will succeed in that. We put our efforts that guests see everything Novi Becej has to offer when it is not the Gospojina holiday so we organized a tour to ethno house, museum, visit of the Biserno ostrvo to make them feel Vojvodina and to enable them to have a nice time - Sasa Sucurovic said for eKpija.

Festival will start with competitions in fish soup cooking, contest of tamburitza bands, exhibit of parade tandems and humanitarian action - throwing balloons with water at the president of the municipality.

Visitors will be able to enjoy ethno market, to take a ride in a carriage and enjoy gourmand food typical for Novi Becej. The youngest will enjoy special party within children`s street.

When it comes to musical program, visitors will enjoy free concerts. Parni valjak, Lepa Brena, Hladno Pivo, Galija, Frajle, Odjila and Hooligans from Hungary.

Sasa Sucurovic, apart from the fact that visitors will throw balloons with water at him, challenged celebrities to compete at fish soup cooking.

- If I prepare the best soup and win media representatives, everybody must announce they lost - Sucurovic said- But,if a media team prepares better soup, I will personally invite him or her in my home for a Sunday Vojvodina lunch.

This year the program will for the first time be enriched with Poljofest - a small agricultural fair where producers and sellers of agricultural machinery, seeds and agricultural chemistry will present themselves.
