Construction of Predejane tunnel to start August 19th - Highway to Macedonian border to open to traffic by 2016 at the latest

Koridori Srbije CEO Dmitar Djurovic voiced his expectation on Friday (2 August 2013) that a Corridor X stretch from Grdelica to the Macedonian border would be completely finished in 2015 or 2016.

He also announced that the digging of a tunnel near Predejane would commence August 19th.

After visiting Corridor X construction sites in the south of Serbia on Friday, Serbian Parliament Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic said he expected the highway section between Levosoj and the Macedonian border to be completed by August 15th.

Stefanovic noted that he was satisfied with this year's work on a Corridor X stretch from Grdelica to the Macedonian border, adding that he expected it to be speeded up in 2014.
