MRKONJIC: Agreement with Alpine to terminate by mid-July

Transportation Minister Milutin Mrkonjic said July 2nd that an agreement concluded with the construction company Alpine, which was hired to build a stretch of Corridor X between Pirot and the Bulgarian border, would be terminated within the next 15 days.

- Deadlines are very short, we've already notified the World Bank and the Koridori Srbije company which is doing its part of the job very well - Mrkonjic told the press while touring the Raska Region.

As soon as the agreement with Alpine is terminated, there will be a call for proposals from new prospective contractors.

Koridori Srbije has received an official notice from Alpine reading that the company has gone bankrupt.
