The V International Conference titled ’Where are the Exchanges Heading?’ is going to be held on 14th and 15th November 2006


November is traditionaly reserved for annual gathering of capital market representatives organized by the Belgrade Stock Exchange. The V International Conference titled ’Where are the Exchanges Heading?’ is going to be held on 14th and 15th November 2006 in hotel InterContinental in Belgrade.
The conference programme is structured around 5 panels titled:
* What the Big Ones Do – Taking a Glance or Warming Up to Join the Game
* And What the SE Europe Does – 12 Exchanges or One Alliance or ...?
* Investment Funds Policy – SE Europe Markets at a Glance
* Investors Protection – Are There Less Important Aspects?
* Five Years After or Openly About Everything...
Issues embedded in almost all panels represent the key ideas of the conference focussed on envisaging the outlooks for stock exchanges and operations, through integration and share of experience of developed and emerging markets. Special attention will be paid to investors’ demands and expectations that can map new markets for investment funds, and to the issues of investors’ protection. The last, fifth panel is reserved for sharing opinions of direct participants on the domestic capital market - the state, Securities and Exchange Commission of the Republic of Serbia, National Bank of Serbia, brokers, media and Belgrade Stock Exchange representatives, with the intention to get a look at the up to date developments, further possibilities and prospects for the Serbian capital market.
