MIHAJLOVIC: Green light for reorganization plan for Srbijagas

Energy Ministry has received a positive opinion from other Serbian ministries on the reorganization plan for Srbijagas, and expects it to be adopted very soon, Energy Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said in an interview with Tanjug news agency.
- Srbijagas' losses now exceed EUR 1 billion, and have to be compensated for. However, it is also necessary to find out how these losses have been made as well as make it possible for the company to operate normally - the minister said and stressed that the government wanted to make Srbijagas an efficient and profitable company.
- Our goal is to achieve energy security, stable supply of gas, higher quality of gas for consumers as well as to make the employees satisfied - she added.
Mihajlovic pointed out that trade unions would be made a part of the future task force for the reform of Srbijagas, adding that nobody would be laid off.
Both Srbijagas and Transgas, which will be established as a result of reorganization of the current company, will be state-owned, the minister told Tanjug.
