At the beginning of October, company "Meser Tehnogas" opens factory in Smederevo, investment worth 44m EUR

The company for production of industrial gases "Messer Tehnogas" had the factory for air decomposition built in Smederevo. The value of the investment is 44m EUR.

The representatives of the company announced that that factory, one of the biggest of the kind in the Balkans, would be opened on October 6, 2006. General manager of "Messer Tehnogas", Ernst Bode, said that the basic intention of the investors was to provide regular supply of technical gases, oxygen, nitrogen and argon, in agreement with "U.S. Steel Srbija" to the Forge, but that certain part of production be marketted to the consumers in the country and abroad.

He added that 44m of total of 100m EUR, which was the amount of the approved investment of "Master Group" for year 2005, had entered Serbia. He also pointed out that the trained manpower and experience, good geographic position and cooperation with "U. S. Steel" had been the basic reasons for investment in Smederevo.
