Heavy trucks of Belarus-based "MAZ" to be assembled in Kragujevac


- Kragujevac-based private company "Vulović transport" has signed the five-year contract with the Belarus "MAZ" (Minsk Automobile Plant) on assembling of six models of heavy trucks in the units of Kragujevac-based factory "Zastava Trucks" - the manager of the aforementioned company, Zoran Vulović, announced.
- The value of the contract for year 2006 is 3m USD, whereas it will be five times bigger next year - said Vulović and pointed out that the first parts for the heavy trucks were already on their way from Belarus to Kragujevac and their assembling would start next week.
The trucks that will be assembled in Kragujevac are two-axle and three-axle towing trucks, two-axle and three-axle dump trucks, semi-trailers and truck chassis with the possibility of superstructure.
The first assembled vehicles will be represented at the first Investment Fair, which will be held in Kragujevac in September.
