Gamzigrad - Romuliana is a archeological site of great value. It is positioned near the city Zaječar in eastern Serbia. Those are the leftovers from an architecture of a Tzar's palace and a memorial complex of the romane tzar Galerije. In the year 2005 Gamzigrad became a candidate for the UNESCO list of cultural and natural inheritance.
Since 1953 systematic archeological reasearsh and preserving is done on the site Romuliana.
The intention is to present the site Gamzigrad - Romuliana to the public in the best light. That can be done only with constant maintenance of the preserved artifacts and the with continuing the preserving on other artifacts. The project contains six different phases in preservation, presentation and organization of artifacts from the archeological site Gamzigrad, and some work on the remaning objects.
The activity in this program is focused on the objects of the memorial complex on the hill Magura, the fortress, the temple of Jupiter, the terms and the general space arrangements and the mozaics presentation.
The main goal of this project is the protection of the objects which have already been researched but not preserved. With the realization of this project, we will have a better insight, and we will understan the lateantic tzar complex better, what will help to make a better tourist presentation.
With the goal to have a more adequate realilsation of this project, some great consultation with the experts from Europe and other international experts from the field of the protection of cultural goods have been made.
