Solar systems from idea to implementation - Slovenia's Gorenje Solar starts operating in Serbia

In order to install a solar power system, it is necessary to have a sun-bathed surface facing the south as well as a wish to invest in renewable energy sources. Slovenia's Gorenje Solar has recently started operating in our market in order to offer turnkey solar power plants to all those wishing to invest in their own power generation system.
This subsidiary of Slovenia's Gorenje does all the work from preliminary designs, calculations and planning to final implementation, and it also offers maintenance services.
- Since 2009 we have installed 70 solar power systems in Slovenia, with their total capacity exceeding 7 MW. We are focused on plants with the capacity of 200-300 kW, which can be installed on the roofs of production facilities and various institutions. Given that Serbia has a great potential, we have decided to present ourselves in this market. I believe that there is no other company in Serbia that offers all this at one place, which represents a great chance for us - Rok Lesjak, director of Gorenje Solar, says to eKapija.
The Slovenian company uses exclusively photovoltaic modules of renowned manufacturers.
- Modules are designed for network systems connected to the electrical grid, as well as for independent systems intended for own consumption.
Aside from turnkey solar power plants, the Slovenian company also has components for small power plants in its offer.
Solar power plant at Valjevo-based Gorenje
Gorenje Solar is going to build a solar power plant on the grounds of the Gorenje factory in Valjevo, which will serve as a demonstration plant.
- We plant to build a demonstration plant in Valjevo, where Gorenje has a production facility. All those interested will be able to see how that system works. The capacity of this power plant will be 10 KW. It is a small power plant, but it is big enough to provide us with the basic information on the feasibility of this investment - says Lesjak.
As our interlocutor explains, that solar power plant should be built in the first half of the next year, and it will cost EUR 20,000.
Gorenje Solar presented its portfolio to the visitors of the International Energy Fair, which was held in Belgrade between October 10 and 12.
