The Belgrade's city budget set aside 600.000 euros for completition of the droject documents for sanitation of the Pqancevo bridge, and the Serbia's budget will set asied 5 mil euros for the sanitation of the same bridge, said the Duputy Mayor of the City of Belgrade, Mrs Radmila Hrustanovic. She said that the total sanitation of the bridge, that is the only connection of the capital with Banat, will be finished the next year. According to her announcement the City of Belgrade set aside 100 mil euros in the last year for the sustaining works of the Branko bridge, that is the most frequent with daily traffic of 90.000 vehicles.

Last week the Minster for Finance, Mr Mladjan Dinkic signed the National Investment Plan for Belgrade together with the Mayor of the City of Belgrade. By this Plan the finance construction for building the bridge near Vinca, the reconstruction of the rail bridge near Ostruznica and reconstruction of the Pancevo bridge is calculated among many other projects in total amount that is set aside of 156,3 mil euros.

According to the Genaral City Plan until 2021 three bridges across Danube are envisaged, that would facilitate the traffic a lot. Those bridges are across Ada Huja, Vinca bridge and the bridge that is supposed to connect Borca and Zemun.

The priority for the City Government is the Ada Huja bridge that will connect two city lodgement- Krnjaca and Karaburma, and will be only 1 km far away from Pancevo bridge. The construction of this bridge is expected to be financed by the loans given by the Japan Government that has not been yet authorised and guaranteed by the Serbian Government. The value of this investment will be approx. 95 mil euros. The project documentation is now in the procedure of finalization, and if everything would go according the plan, the start of the construction would be in 2008.

The Vinca bridge would have very important role in the transporation of the toxic, danagerous materials, that is now passing through Belgrade. The Institute CIP has got the job to prepare the project documentation that has to be finished in 8 months. From the National Investment Plan 2.250.000 euros will be set aside. This bridge will connect Borca and Zemun and it is not in the priority for the City Government, but has to be constructed in the period of 15 years. How the construction of this bridge would be financed it has not been decided yet, although there are some suggestion that the construction would be financed through concessions.
